 Marylee Fairbanks & Lachanze

Marylee Graffeo Fairbanks is a musical theater performer and writer. She attended Emerson College and performed in New York City, Los Angeles and throughout North America and Europe (Ragtime, Will Rogers Follies and I Love You, You’re Perfect). Marylee is a member of Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and Actors Equity (AEA). She has been traveling to Rwanda and studying its society and culture for 15 years. She is co-host of

Stages Podcast with Stephanie J. Block. She, Michael and their teenage son, Seb rescue dogs, turtles and chickens.


Greenberg Traurig
LaChanze is the Tony, SAG, Drama Desk and Emmy award-winning actor in 17 Broadway productions over 27 years. She starred in, among others, Once on this Island, Color Purple, Ragtime, (where she and Marylee met), Summer, If/Then, Company, The Wiz, and A Christmas Carol. She is the co-founder of Black Theater United.

LaChanze is the proud mother of two teenage daughters, Celia and Zaya. LaChanze and Celia, recently made history as the first mother and daughter to star on Broadway at the same time.
